Open your order page on a laptop or a second phone, then scan it with the phone that will use the eSIM. A phone cannot scan a code shown on its own screen.

Open your order page on the iPhone itself and tap "Install on this iPhone." iOS hands the code straight to the eSIM installer — no scanning, no typing.

What the code is made of

An eSIM activation code isn't a password — it's an address plus a one-time ticket. Every field below is on your order page with a copy button next to it.

Read first

An eSIM installs only once. If you delete it, the code can't be reused — don't remove the plan until your trip is over.

Entering the code by hand

The path differs slightly by manufacturer, but the fields are always the same.

iOS 12.1+

iPhone

1Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM
2Tap Use QR Code, then Enter Details Manually
3Paste the SM-DP+ Address into the first field
4Paste the Activation Code into the second field
5Leave "Confirmation Code" blank and tap Next
6Label the plan, then set it as default for data

Android 10+

Android

1Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM
2Tap Need help? or Enter it manually
3Paste the full activation string (the LPA: line)
4If asked for two fields, use the SM-DP+ address and code
5Confirm the download and wait for install
6Turn on the new line and enable Data Roaming

On Samsung the path is Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM. On Pixel it's Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Download a SIM instead. Install over Wi-Fi before you leave — the download needs a connection, and validity only starts once the eSIM first connects at your destination.
